Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Redistricting, Special was held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:01 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The Chair made opening remarks and introduced committee staff. The Chair recognized other members to make opening statements.

Senator Hinojosa moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

At 1:09 PM Senator Huffman moved that the Committee stand at ease.

At 1:38 PM Senator Huffman reconvened the meeting.

There being no further business, at 1:39 PM Senator Huffman moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
