The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Creighton, Senator Kolkhorst.

The Chair made opening remarks.

The Chair opened invited testimony (see attached witness list) for discussion on the following subject:

Electricity: Consider various proposals to improve the wholesale electric market design and strengthen the reliability of the Texas electric grid.

Senator King assumed the chair. Senator Schwertner resumed the chair.

There being no further business, at 2:12 the Chair moved that the Committee stand in recess subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
