Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Agriculture was held on Monday, March 4, 2019, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:03 PM. A quorum being established at 1:26pm, the following business was transacted:

The Senate Committee on Agriculture met in a joint hearing with the House Committee on Agriculture and Livestock.

 

The Chair made opening remarks.

 

Invited witnesses registering and testifying are shown on the attached list.

 

The following members arrived after the roll was called:

Senator Charles Schwertner

 

Upon arrival of a quorum,

 

Senator Rodríguez moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on February 13, 2019. Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 2:42 PM Senator Rodríguez moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the Chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
