CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On May 7, 2019, the House Committee on State Affairs authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on State Affairs held on May 1, 2019. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on April 26, 2019, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phelan, at 8:06 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phelan; Hernandez; Deshotel; Guerra; Harless; Hunter; and Raymond.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 2485, SB 2486, SB 2487, SB 2488

 

The chair laid out SB 2485, SB 2486, SB 2487, and SB 2488.

 

The chair recognized Representative Larson to explain SB 2488.

The chair explained SB 2485, SB 2486, and SB 2487.

At 9:55 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until upon final adjourn./recess or bill referral if permission granted.

 

 

 

The committee reconvened at 7:41 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phelan.

 

The quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phelan; Harless; Hunter; King, Phil; Parker; Raymond; and Springer.

SB 2485, SB 2487, and SB 2488 were left pending without objection.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute for SB 2486.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 2486, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Phelan; Deshotel; Guerra; Harless; Holland; Hunter; Parker; Raymond; Smithee; Springer (10).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Hernandez; Rodriguez (2).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).
