Pursuant to a notice posted on May 8, 2019, the House Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Klick, at 10:07 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Klick; Cortez; Bucy; Burrows; Cain; Fierro; Israel; and Middleton.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

 

 

SB 323

 

The chair laid out SB 323, the senate companion to HB 3376.

 

Representative Cain offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Middleton moved that SB 323, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
