Pursuant to a notice posted on April 24, 2019, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Springer, at 6:59 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Springer; Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Buckley; Burns; and Fierro.

The chair laid out SB 814.

 

The chair recognized Representative Buckley to explain SB 814.

SB 345

 

The chair laid out SB 345, companion to HB 792.

 

Representative Anderson, Charles "Doc" moved that SB 345, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion failed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Springer; Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Burns (3).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Buckley; Fierro (2).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Representative Burns offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
