R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Amanda Stipe Veesart has been named associate |
|
|
dean of the Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at |
|
|
the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and this |
|
|
achievement indeed merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Sunray, Dr. Veesart graduated from |
|
|
Sunray High School and went on to earn an associate degree in |
|
|
nursing from Amarillo College; continuing her education, she |
|
|
obtained a bachelor of science in nursing from Lubbock Christian |
|
|
University, a master of science in nursing from the Texas Tech |
|
|
Health Sciences Center, and a Ph.D. in higher education from Texas |
|
|
Tech; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Veesart has gained a wealth of experience in |
|
|
emergency nursing and trauma, cardiac, and surgical intensive care |
|
|
over the course of her distinguished career, which began in 1999 at |
|
|
Moore County Hospital in Dumas; she worked three years as a |
|
|
registered nurse at the UMC Health System and taught for more than a |
|
|
decade in the School of Nursing at the Texas Tech Health Sciences |
|
|
Center; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Amanda Veesart's dedication and expertise have |
|
|
greatly benefited her fellow Texans over the years, and the depth of |
|
|
knowledge she has acquired along the way will serve her well as she |
|
|
takes on this challenging new role; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Amanda Stipe Veesart on being |
|
|
named associate dean of the Traditional Bachelor of Science in |
|
|
Nursing program at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Dr. Veesart as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
