R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Abigail Melick has ably served her fellow Texans as
  an intern in the office of State Representative John Wray during the
  86th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Melick has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  such as compiling committee binders, responding to constituents,
  and drafting written communication for the office; in addition to
  gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has
  learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
  citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Melick is currently pursuing a degree in
  government and Spanish through the Liberal Arts Honors Program at
  The University of Texas at Austin, and she works as an event manager
  assistant with the UT School of Law; she previously served as a law
  assistant for Wray, Willett & Stoffer, PLLC, in Waxahachie and as a
  social adjustment services intern for Refugee Services of Texas in
  Dallas; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
  duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Abigail Melick for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative John Wray
  and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Melick as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
