R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Ruben P. DeLeon of
  Robstown were deeply saddened by his passing on August 28, 2018, at
  the age of 67; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Ramon and Dominga DeLeon, Ruben DeLeon
  was born in Robstown on July 22, 1951, and he grew up with the
  companionship of five siblings, Ramon, Leticia, Ramiro, Mario, and
  Robert; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. DeLeon was employed with Nueces County for a
  number of years, ultimately retiring from the Department of Public
  Works in 2014; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. DeLeon enjoyed the love
  and support of his wife, Yolanda, with whom he shared a rewarding
  marriage that spanned nearly two and a half decades; he was the
  devoted father of four children, Christina, Linda, Roland, and
  Elizabeth, and he had the pleasure of welcoming into his treasured
  family 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Ruben DeLeon lived a rich and purposeful life, and
  although he is greatly missed, those who were privileged enough to
  know him will forever hold him close in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ruben P. DeLeon and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Yolanda DeLeon; to his daughters, Linda DeLeon and Christina
  Delgado and her husband, Sam; to his son, Roland Botello Jr.; to his
  brother, Ramon DeLeon Jr.; to his sister, Leticia DeLeon; to his
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to his nieces and nephews;
  and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ruben P.
  DeLeon.
