R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Ruben P. DeLeon of |
|
|
Robstown were deeply saddened by his passing on August 28, 2018, at |
|
|
the age of 67; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Ramon and Dominga DeLeon, Ruben DeLeon |
|
|
was born in Robstown on July 22, 1951, and he grew up with the |
|
|
companionship of five siblings, Ramon, Leticia, Ramiro, Mario, and |
|
|
Robert; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. DeLeon was employed with Nueces County for a |
|
|
number of years, ultimately retiring from the Department of Public |
|
|
Works in 2014; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. DeLeon enjoyed the love |
|
|
and support of his wife, Yolanda, with whom he shared a rewarding |
|
|
marriage that spanned nearly two and a half decades; he was the |
|
|
devoted father of four children, Christina, Linda, Roland, and |
|
|
Elizabeth, and he had the pleasure of welcoming into his treasured |
|
|
family 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ruben DeLeon lived a rich and purposeful life, and |
|
|
although he is greatly missed, those who were privileged enough to |
|
|
know him will forever hold him close in their hearts; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ruben P. DeLeon and |
|
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
|
Yolanda DeLeon; to his daughters, Linda DeLeon and Christina |
|
|
Delgado and her husband, Sam; to his son, Roland Botello Jr.; to his |
|
|
brother, Ramon DeLeon Jr.; to his sister, Leticia DeLeon; to his |
|
|
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to his nieces and nephews; |
|
|
and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ruben P. |
|
|
DeLeon. |
