R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The House has learned with sadness of the death of |
|
|
the Honorable James A. Turman, who passed away on February 13, 2019, |
|
|
at the age of 91; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Speaker Turman represented Fannin County in the |
|
|
House of Representatives from 1955 through 1963, and he served as |
|
|
Speaker of the House during the 57th Legislature; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby grant permission for the body of the Honorable |
|
|
James A. Turman to lie in honor in the Hall of the House of |
|
|
Representatives on Friday, February 22, 2019, under the direction |
|
|
and supervision of the Committee on House Administration. |
