Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Monday, January 30, 2017, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 10:02 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The Chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1.

 

Invited testimony was heard on SB 1 – Article II.  Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

 

Department of Family and Protective Services

 

At 1:09 PM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed until 30 minutes after adjournment of the Senate. Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

At 3:21 PM the Committee reconvened.

 

Department of State Health Services

 

Health and Human Services Commission and Special Provisions Relating to All Health and Human Services Agencies

 

Invited testimony was closed.

 

Senator Nelson moved that SB 1 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 6:29 PM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
