Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2017, and permission granted on May 20, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Alvarado, at 1:49 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Alvarado; Leach; Bernal; Elkins; and Zedler.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 990

 

The chair laid out SB 990 as pending business.

 

Representative Bernal moved that SB 990, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           None (0).

Representative Zedler moved that SB 1991, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.
