Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2017, and permission granted on May 5, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, at 5:32 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cook; Giddings; Craddick; Geren; Guillen; King, Ken; Kuempel; Meyer; and Oliveira.

Representative Geren moved to reconsider all votes previously taken on SB 586.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair withdrew the committee substitute.
