Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2017, and permission granted on May 20, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Special Purpose Districts met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Murphy, at 2:56 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Murphy; Perez; Bell; Cortez; Cosper; and Lang.

The chair laid out SB 2276.

 

Representative Perez offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Perez moved that SB 2276, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
