Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on August 12, 2017, and permission granted on August 12, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Price, at 3:22 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Price; Sheffield; Burkett; Coleman; Collier; Klick; and Zedler.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 17, the companion to HB 9.

The chair moved that SB 17, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Price; Sheffield; Arévalo; Burkett; Coleman; Collier; Klick; Oliverson; Zedler (9).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Cortez; Guerra (2).

 

 

At 3:24 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
