Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2017, and permission granted on May 5, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Price, at 4:34 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Price; Sheffield; Arévalo; Coleman; Collier; Cortez; Guerra; Klick; Oliverson; and Zedler.

HB 3711

 

Representative Sheffield moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Zedler moved that HB 3711, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Price; Sheffield; Arévalo; Coleman; Collier; Cortez; Guerra; Klick; Oliverson; Zedler (10).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Representative Oliverson moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Oliverson offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Oliverson to explain HB 1225.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Oliverson moved that HB 1225, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
