Pursuant to a notice posted on June 14, 2018, the House Committee on Opioids & Substance Abuse, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Price, at 10:05 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Price; Moody; Alvarado; Dean; Minjarez; Murr; Roberts; Sheffield; VanDeaver; and White.

 

A quorum was present.

Examine the impact of overdose reporting defense laws known as "Good Samaritan" laws.
