Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 8, 2017, and permission granted on May 8, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Local & Consent Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Thompson, Senfronia, at 5:05 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Thompson, Senfronia; Burkett; Capriglione; Collier; Dean; Minjarez; and Simmons.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

 

Representative Thompson, Senfronia moved that the floor amendments to HB 1959 offered by Rep. Clardy, and HB 3517 offered by Rep Gervin-Hawkins be approved to be offered during consideration of the Local, Consent, and Resolutions Calendar for Tuesday, May 9, 2017.  The motion prevailed without objection.

Representative Thompson, Senfronia moved that the following measure be transferred over to the House Calendars Committee: HB 946.  The motion prevailed without objection.

 

Pursuant to the suspension of all necessary rules and to unanimous consent granted on May 8, 2017, Representative Dean moved to place the following measures on the Local, Consent, and Resolutions Calendar for Tuesday, May 9, 2017:  HB 1794, HB 1959, HB 2252, HB 2746, HB 2886, HB 3265, HB 3517, HB 3917.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Thompson, Senfronia; Burkett; Capriglione; Collier; Dean; Gonzales, Larry; Minjarez; Simmons (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Clardy; Frank; Landgraf; Longoria; Murr (5).

 

At 5:08 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
