Pursuant to a notice posted on March 16, 2017, the House Committee on Local & Consent Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Thompson, Senfronia, at 4:00 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Thompson, Senfronia; Clardy; Burkett; Collier; Dean; Frank; Gonzales, Larry; Landgraf; Minjarez; Murr; and Simmons.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The chair introduced committee staff.

 

The chair introduced and congratulated Rep. Travis Clardy on returning as the committee’s vice chairman.

 

The chair recognized Rep. Clardy for remarks.

 

The chair welcomed back to the committee Rep. Cindy Burkett, Rep. Larry Gonzales, Rep. Giovanni Capriglione and Rep. Nicole Collier. Rep. Collier served on the committee during the 83^rd Session.

 

The chair congratulated and welcomed to the committee Rep. Jay Dean, Rep. James Frank, Rep. Brooks Landgraf, Rep. Oscar Longoria, Rep. Ina Minjarez, Rep. Andrew Murr and Rep. Ron Simmons.

 

The chair went over committee procedures & duties with the members.

 

The chair recognized Speaker Bonnen to address the committee.

 

The chair recognized the committee clerk to discuss committee procedures & duties.

 

The chair asked if there were any questions. There being none, at 4:33 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
