Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 19, 2017, the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kuempel, at 11:46 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Kuempel; Guillen; Geren; Hernandez; and Thompson, Senfronia.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 1972

 

The chair laid out SB 1972.

 

Representative Thompson, Senfronia moved that SB 1972, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee. 

The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Thompson, Senfronia moved that SB 1088, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
