Pursuant to a notice posted on March 23, 2018, the House Committee on Insurance met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phillips, at 10:06 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phillips; Anderson, Rodney; Oliverson; and Paul.

The committee heard testimony on Interim Charge 1 regarding Hurricane Harvey.  (See attached witness list.)

The committee heard testimony on Interim Charge 2 regarding Homeowners Insurance Policies.   (See attached witness list.)

 

The committee heard testimony on Interim Charge 3 regarding Appraisal Processes.  (See attached witness list.)

 

The committee heard testimony on Interim Charge 3 regarding automobile insurance and minimum liability limits.  (See attached witness list.)

 

The committee heard testimony on life insurance policy premium increases and consumer protections. (See attached witness list.)

 

At 2:11 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
