Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 10, 2017, and permission granted on May 10, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Insurance met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phillips, at 1:00 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phillips; Muņoz, Jr.; Anderson, Rodney; Gooden; Oliverson; Paul; Turner; and Vo.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 1076

 

The chair laid out SB 1076, the companion to HB 2360.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 1076, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Phillips; Muņoz, Jr.; Anderson, Rodney; Gooden; Oliverson; Paul; Turner; Vo (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

The chair laid out SB 2087, the companion to HB 3226.

 

Representative Anderson, Rodney moved that SB 2087 be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
