Pursuant to a notice posted on May 4, 2017, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Coleman, at 10:04 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Coleman; Springer; Biedermann; Stickland; Thierry; and Uresti, Tomas.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

HB 2482

 

The chair laid out HB 2482.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Thierry moved that HB 2482, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Coleman; Springer; Biedermann; Thierry; Uresti, Tomas (5).

 

Nays:                           Representative Stickland (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Hunter; Neave; Roberts (3).

The chair laid out SB 470, which is the companion to HB 1756.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Stickland moved that SB 470, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
