Pursuant to a notice posted on March 24, 2017, and permission granted on March 30, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative White, at 12:59 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives White; Allen; Davis, Sarah; Romero, Jr.; Sanford; Schaefer; and Tinderholt.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

 

HB 618

 

The Chair laid out HB 618 as pending business.

 

Representative Sanford offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Sanford moved that HB 618, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
