HB978 by Murr (Relating to the terms of the board members of the Texas Indigent Defense Commission.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to extend the terms of board members of the Texas Indigent Defense Commission from two to six years.  It is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
