SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 580
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize members of Our Lady of the Hills Regional Catholic High
	School boys basketball team, who recently won the Division 3A
	Texas state championship title for private and parochial
	schools; and
	WHEREAS, The Hawks were victorious in their appearance at
	the boys Final Four basketball tournament; they defeated the
	Yavneh Academy of Dallas in double overtime before an energetic
	crowd to win the state finals; and
	WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great
	talent and perseverance throughout the school year, having ended
	their season with a perfect 10-0 record; the boys state finals
	win marks the first team championship for a school from Kerrville
	since 1970 and the first team championship in any sport in the
	history of Our Lady of the Hills Regional Catholic High School;
	team members can indeed take pride in their outstanding
	performance; and
	WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
	Coach Chris Ramirez, the Hawks have developed the exceptional
	teamwork and discipline necessary for such a fantastic season; and
	WHEREAS, Our Lady of the Hills Regional Catholic High
	School and the City of Kerrville are proud of the Hawks for their
	hard work, their impressive skills, and their fine
	sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
	Legislature, hereby commend Our Lady of the Hills Regional
	Catholic High School boys basketball team on their successful
	season and congratulate them on winning the Division 3A Texas
	state basketball championship title for private and parochial
	schools; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
