connections in 1881, when the Texas Trunk Railroad built its
track through the town, and the first official plat was recorded
in the Dallas County deed records two years later; there was a

  similarly named community; and

recreational opportunities at its numerous parks, tennis
facilities, and senior citizen and youth centers; nearby Lake Ray

Preserve and the Dallas Independent School District Environmental
  Education Center; and
WHEREAS, Each October, the community celebrates the migration
of the beautiful monarch butterfly during Seagofest, an event for
the entire family that provides a welcome opportunity for
residents to pay tribute to their shared history and culture; and
WHEREAS, The city of Seagoville embodies the best aspects
