SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 438
|
|
WHEREAS, Nikita Fridia was sworn in as justice of the peace |
|
for Morris County Precinct 1 on February 1, 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Cason, Nikita Fridia graduated from |
|
Daingerfield High School before joining the United States Navy in |
|
1994; she was among the first group of women to be stationed |
|
aboard an aircraft carrier when she joined the crew of the USS |
|
Dwight D. Eisenhower; over the course of her navy tenure, she |
|
worked in flight operations and communications, and her assignments |
|
took her to Dubai, the Bahamas, Turkey, and Israel; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Following the conclusion of her military service |
|
in 1997, Nikita Fridia established a career as a licensed |
|
vocational nurse in Pittsburg; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In taking on her duties as justice of the peace, |
|
Nikita Fridia is performing a vital service for the citizens of |
|
Morris County, and the dedication she has demonstrated in her |
|
previous endeavors is sure to prove equally valuable in this |
|
important new role; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|
Legislature, hereby congratulate Nikita Fridia on her appointment |
|
as justice of the peace for Morris County Precinct 1 and extend to |
|
her sincere best wishes for success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
Nikita Fridia as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
