SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 104
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Douglas and Jane Lee |
|
|
of Mineola celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |
|
|
September 11, 2015; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lee were joined in matrimony in 1965 |
|
|
at a ceremony held in Mineola; through the years, they have been |
|
|
blessed with a treasured family that includes their children, |
|
|
Theresa Meazell and her husband, Billy, Vance Lee and his wife, |
|
|
Elli, and Kimberly Bates and her husband, David, as well as six |
|
|
grandchildren, Lee Caldwell, Erica Crane, Kelby and Brooke |
|
|
Bates, Cameron Crane, and Harrison Lee; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Lee has |
|
|
owned Lee's Paint and Body Shop for more than three decades, and |
|
|
Mrs. Lee is retired from her post as a department manager at |
|
|
Walmart; today, she serves as a volunteer at her church; in their |
|
|
leisure hours, the couple take pleasure in spending time with |
|
|
their family and taking the occasional casino trip; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lee have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby congratulate Doug and Jane Lee of Mineola on |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
Mr. and Mrs. Lee as an expression of high regard from the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
