A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of the governing body of a school district |
|
|
to waive the new jobs creation requirement for the purpose of |
|
|
eligibility for a limitation on the appraised value of property for |
|
|
school district maintenance and operations ad valorem tax purposes |
|
|
under the Texas Economic Development Act. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 313.025(f-1), Tax Code, is repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to an application under Chapter 313, Tax Code, that is pending on |
|
|
the effective date of this Act or is filed on or after that date. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
