A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

|
relating to voting eligibility requirements for members of a |
|
|
metropolitan planning organization policy board. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 472, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 472.037 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 472.037. POLICY BOARD MEMBER VOTING ELIGIBILITY. To |
|
|
be eligible to be a voting member of a metropolitan planning |
|
|
organization policy board, a member must be an elected official. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
