R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
  milestones, and Joseph Daniel Valenzuela Jr. is participating in
  that joyful occasion with his graduation from Cedar Ridge High
  School in Round Rock on June 1, 2017; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout his years at CRHS, Mr. Valenzuela has
  maintained a strong focus on academics while also participating in
  extracurricular activities; in addition to successfully completing
  study in his school's Academy of Health Science, he lettered for two
  years on both the football and soccer teams; he received a
  University Interscholastic League District 13-6A Academic
  All-District Award and an Academic All-State honorable mention for
  his work on the gridiron, as well as the CRHS 2017 Goalkeeper of the
  Year Award and a District 13-6A All-District Goalkeeper honorable
  mention for his efforts on the soccer field; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Joe and Blythe Valenzuela, this notable
  young Texan has volunteered with the Texas House of Representatives
  during several legislative sessions; in the future, he plans to
  study sports medicine; and
         WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await
  Mr. Valenzuela, and it is a pleasure to join his family and friends
  in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with promise;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Joseph Daniel Valenzuela Jr. on the
  occasion of his high school graduation and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Valenzuela as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
