R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, June 17, 2017, marks the 50th wedding anniversary of |
|
|
Ed and Susan Auler of Austin, and this joyous event provides a |
|
|
fitting opportunity to reflect on their rewarding journey together |
|
|
as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ed Auler and the former Susan Teeple were joined in |
|
|
matrimony in 1967 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas; |
|
|
over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that |
|
|
includes their children, Chad and Mark, as well as five |
|
|
grandchildren, Yates, Charles, Ash, Daisy, and Shelby; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Auler founded Fall Creek Vineyards |
|
|
several years after a trip to France in 1973, and they have built it |
|
|
into a highly respected and award-winning business with locations |
|
|
in Tow and Driftwood; they organized the first Texas Hill Country |
|
|
Wine and Food Festival, and their wines have been served at several |
|
|
presidential inaugurations and state dinners as well as at special |
|
|
functions hosted by the Texas governor and speaker of the house; |
|
|
involved with numerous nonprofits, the couple enjoy traveling and |
|
|
outdoor activities in their leisure time; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The five decades of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Auler |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ed and Susan Auler on their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
