R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, June 17, 2017, marks the 50th wedding anniversary of
  Ed and Susan Auler of Austin, and this joyous event provides a
  fitting opportunity to reflect on their rewarding journey together
  as husband and wife; and
         WHEREAS, Ed Auler and the former Susan Teeple were joined in
  matrimony in 1967 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas;
  over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that
  includes their children, Chad and Mark, as well as five
  grandchildren, Yates, Charles, Ash, Daisy, and Shelby; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Auler founded Fall Creek Vineyards
  several years after a trip to France in 1973, and they have built it
  into a highly respected and award-winning business with locations
  in Tow and Driftwood; they organized the first Texas Hill Country
  Wine and Food Festival, and their wines have been served at several
  presidential inaugurations and state dinners as well as at special
  functions hosted by the Texas governor and speaker of the house;
  involved with numerous nonprofits, the couple enjoy traveling and
  outdoor activities in their leisure time; and
         WHEREAS, The five decades of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Auler
  have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
  commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
  know them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ed and Susan Auler on their 50th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
