R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jacob Ian Snyder of Mabank High School won the 4A |
|
|
Lincoln-Douglas Debate championship title at the University |
|
|
Interscholastic League 2017 Speech State Tournament, held May 22-23 |
|
|
at The University of Texas at Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against some of the most talented students |
|
|
in Texas, Mr. Snyder gave an outstanding performance to earn first |
|
|
place at the state contest; the triumph was the culmination of an |
|
|
exemplary season in which he also excelled at the district level and |
|
|
received the Region 2 LD debate title; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his skill, hard work, and commitment to |
|
|
excellence, Jacob Ian Snyder has distinguished himself in statewide |
|
|
competition, and he may reflect with pride on a job well done; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob Ian Snyder on winning the UIL |
|
|
4A Lincoln-Douglas Debate state championship and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Snyder as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
