R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Hannah Hirst of Katy has been accepted into the |
|
|
United States Military Academy at West Point; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Dan and Tiffany Hirst, Hannah Hirst |
|
|
is a graduating senior at Faith West Academy in Katy, where she is |
|
|
an honor student and a member of the National Honor Society; also an |
|
|
accomplished athlete, she was named to the girls' soccer Academic |
|
|
All-State Team for the 2016-2017 season; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While at West Point, this outstanding young Texan |
|
|
plans to pursue a degree in law, and after graduation, she hopes to |
|
|
continue her education by attending law school; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With her admission to the Military Academy at West |
|
|
Point, Hannah Hirst may look forward to myriad exciting challenges |
|
|
and opportunities, and she is indeed deserving of recognition for |
|
|
her exemplary achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Hannah Hirst on her acceptance to |
|
|
the United States Military Academy at West Point and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Hirst as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
