R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cody Wood has ably served his fellow Texans as an |
|
|
assistant committee clerk for the House Public Education Committee |
|
|
during the 85th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Wood has provided vital |
|
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in |
|
|
addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Kelley Wood, Mr. Wood is studying |
|
|
international relations at The University of Texas at Austin, where |
|
|
he is a junior; while previously attending Houston Community |
|
|
College, he earned a 4.0 GPA and made the dean's list; he is looking |
|
|
forward to a career with the federal government, in the field of |
|
|
national security; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|
|
duties as an assistant committee clerk with skill and dedication, |
|
|
and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Cody Wood for his service as an |
|
|
assistant committee clerk for the House Public Education Committee |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wood as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
