R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The family and friends of Janeera Nickol Gonzalez of |
|
Irving suffered a heartbreaking loss with the tragic death of this |
|
beloved young woman on May 3, 2017, at the age of 20; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on July 18, 1996, Janeera Gonzalez was the |
|
cherished daughter of Juan and Lucia Gonzalez; growing up in a |
|
close-knit family, she enjoyed the companionship of her brother, |
|
Johnny, and her sister, Jazmine, and she graduated from Irving High |
|
School in 2015; at the time of her passing, she was a little more |
|
than a week away from graduating from North Lake College with a |
|
degree in kinesiology, and she planned to continue her studies at |
|
The University of Texas at Arlington in the fall; and |
|
WHEREAS, Blessed with a talent and passion for music, |
|
Ms. Gonzalez taught herself to play the guitar, violin, and |
|
ukulele, and she had a fondness for the outdoors as well; she was |
|
generous in her love for people and happiest of all when she was |
|
spending time with her family and friends, who could always count on |
|
her for caring advice when they needed it; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through the warmth, kindness, and laughter that she |
|
shared, Janeera Gonzalez brought a light into her loved ones' lives |
|
that can never be extinguished, and they will keep her memory in |
|
their hearts forever; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Janeera Nickol |
|
Gonzalez and extend deepest condolences to all those who mourn her |
|
passing; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Janeera |
|
Gonzalez. |
