R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor in which all Texans |
|
|
have a stake, and those individuals who devote themselves to the |
|
|
development of our young people are helping to ensure that the |
|
|
future of the Lone Star State rests in capable hands; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, One such educator is Jayson Carraway, a 9th- through |
|
|
12th-grade science teacher at Juan Seguin High School, who has |
|
|
demonstrated his commitment to his students by achieving a perfect |
|
|
record of attendance for the 2016-2017 academic year; this is his |
|
|
third consecutive year to post such a record; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During the three years that Mr. Carraway has taught |
|
|
at Seguin High, he has worked tirelessly to equip his pupils with |
|
|
the knowledge and skills that will enable them to become |
|
|
responsible and productive citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Providing for the diverse educational needs of our |
|
|
future leaders is an undertaking of paramount importance, and |
|
|
Jayson Carraway embodies the spirit of service and dedication that |
|
|
are the hallmarks of a good teacher; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Jayson Carraway on his perfect |
|
|
attendance during the 2016-2017 school year and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Carraway as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
