R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, May 27, 2017, marks the 50th wedding anniversary of |
|
|
David and Susan Ward of Arlington, and this joyous event provides a |
|
|
fitting opportunity to reflect on their rewarding journey together |
|
|
as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ward were joined in matrimony in 1967 |
|
|
at a ceremony in Fort Worth; over the years, they have been blessed |
|
|
with a treasured family that includes their daughter, Angela |
|
|
Cameron, and her husband, Rich, and their son, Andrew Ward, and his |
|
|
wife, Kim, as well as two grandchildren, Rebecca and Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Ward is a |
|
|
veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as a captain with the Dallas |
|
|
Fire Department, and Mrs. Ward taught math at Duncanville High |
|
|
School; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The five decades of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Ward |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate David and Susan Ward on their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ward as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
