R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Members of the Yellow Rose of Texas Republican Women
  are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their organization's
  founding in 2017; and
         WHEREAS, In the summer of 2007, three women in Tomball joined
  together to form a group affiliated with the Texas Federation of
  Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women;
  they set themselves the daunting task of completing the
  organization process in time to attend that year's TFRW Biennial
  Convention in El Paso, and through diligence and determination, in
  just 12 days they prepared the bylaws, recruited members, and
  elected officers; and
         WHEREAS, This noteworthy organization has demonstrated
  exceptional dedication to promoting the goals of the Republican
  Party and supporting its candidates for public office; in addition,
  its members work to inform citizens about important issues and
  encourage participation in the electoral process; they also furnish
  educational materials to schoolchildren and libraries, coordinate
  community service projects, and give generously of their time and
  talents in behalf of veterans and active members of the military;
  and
         WHEREAS, Over the past decade, the group has established
  productive relationships within the community and with elected
  officials, other Republican Women's groups, and the Harris County
  Republican Party; the club was recognized by the NFRW for its
  Americanism and Caring for America initiatives, and it has received
  numerous accolades from the TFRW, among them three John Goodwin
  Tower Awards and honors for Best Newsletter and Club Achievement;
  and
         WHEREAS, Through their committed efforts, the members of the
  Yellow Rose of Texas Republican Women have helped to strengthen
  their party and foster a more unified, informed, and enthusiastic
  base of Republican voters, and as they mark this milestone in their
  organization's history, they may indeed reflect with pride on their
  accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Yellow Rose of Texas Republican
  Women on its 10th anniversary and commend the members for their
  civic engagement; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
