R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mardia Idris is graduating as the salutatorian of |
|
|
the senior class of Liberty High School in 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Idris has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being |
|
|
mathematics and science; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Idris plans to continue her education at the |
|
|
University of Houston, studying mathematics; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Mardia Idris has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates, |
|
|
and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for |
|
|
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mardia Idris, salutatorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2017 at Liberty High School, and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Idris as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
