R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Clyde Avalos has been presented with an Outstanding |
|
|
Award from the McNair Scholars Program at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, McNair Scholars is part of the university's Programs |
|
|
for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the |
|
|
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, |
|
|
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an |
|
|
Outstanding Award, Mr. Avalos was recognized for his academic |
|
|
achievements in his program; this notable Texan is working toward a |
|
|
degree in mechanical engineering; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Clyde Avalos is indeed deserving of this prestigious |
|
|
honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with promise; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Clyde Avalos on his receipt of a |
|
|
McNair Scholars Outstanding Award and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Avalos as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
