R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Harmony-Soleil Clemmons has been presented with a
  Rising Star Award from the TRIO Islanders Organization at Texas A&M
  University--Corpus Christi; and
         WHEREAS, The TRIO Islanders Organization is part of the
  university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS)
  initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing
  resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented
  students; in receiving a Rising Star Award, Harmony-Soleil was
  recognized for excelling both in and outside the classroom in all
  her endeavors; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Kianna Sills, Harmony-Soleil is a
  first grader at Smith Elementary School, where she is on the AB
  honor roll; she is also a Daisy in her Girl Scout troop, and she
  wants to be a large animal veterinarian when she grows up; and
         WHEREAS, Harmony-Soleil Clemmons is indeed deserving of this
  prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with
  promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Harmony-Soleil Clemmons on her
  receipt of a TRIO Islanders Organization Rising Star Award and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Harmony-Soleil as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
