R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Josh D. Clarke was sworn in as a member of the board |
|
|
of the Chester Independent School District on February 27, 2017; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The board unanimously approved the appointment of |
|
|
Mr. Clarke to fill an unexpected vacancy; a respected member of the |
|
|
business community, he is the president of H. C. Oilfield Services; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Serving on the school board requires a significant |
|
|
commitment of time and energy; members coordinate with the district |
|
|
superintendent to ensure the best possible instruction and |
|
|
resources for pupils, and they strive to promote academic |
|
|
achievement and to enhance the quality of the district's schools; |
|
|
moreover, they seek to garner the public support that is essential |
|
|
to the advancement of the school system; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By accepting this important office, Josh Clarke has |
|
|
demonstrated admirable dedication to providing area children with a |
|
|
strong foundation on which to build fulfilling and productive |
|
|
lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Josh Clarke on his appointment to |
|
|
the board of the Chester Independent School District and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Clarke as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
