R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A delegation from West University Elementary School
  in Houston is visiting the State Capitol on March 3, 2017; and
         WHEREAS, The students participating in the trip represent the
  classes of fourth-grade teachers Laura Leven, Jane Williams, Shelby
  Wood, Sally Parish, Brittany Westerman, MacKenzie Inman, Abigail
  Jackson, Courtney Schlichting, and Tammy McIntyre; and
         WHEREAS, While in Austin, these bright young Texans are
  touring the Capitol Complex and meeting their state representative,
  Sarah Davis; with the 85th Session well under way, they have an
  excellent opportunity to see their state legislature in action
  firsthand; and
         WHEREAS, The Texas Capitol is an ideal setting for young and
  old alike to discover the rich heritage of the Lone Star State and
  to gain insight into the workings of state government, and it is
  indeed a pleasure to welcome the students from West University
  Elementary School at this time; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize the fourth-grade students from West
  University Elementary School on the occasion of their visit to the
  State Capitol and extend to them sincere best wishes for an
  informative and memorable visit to Austin; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
