A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to reducing regulations on the application of certain |
|
|
pesticides by school district employees. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1951.212, Occupations Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c-1) Notwithstanding Section 1951.051(c) or this section, |
|
|
a school district employee is not required to hold a license under |
|
|
this chapter or Chapter 76, Agriculture Code, to apply at a school |
|
|
building or other school district facility, in a manner consistent |
|
|
with the label, a pesticide that is available for purchase by |
|
|
unlicensed members of the public. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
