	A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
	AN ACT
	relating to the donation of a brain on a decedent's death.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
	SECTION 1.  Section 692A.002(21), Health and Safety Code, is
	amended to read as follows:
	(21)  "Part" means an organ, including a brain, an eye,
	or tissue of a human being.  The term does not include the whole
	body.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
