Amend CSSB 4 (house committee printing), on page 4, between lines 23 and 24, by inserting the following appropriately lettered subsection:
(____) This subchapter does not prohibit a local entity or campus police department from adopting and enforcing a policy prohibiting persons who are employed by or otherwise under the direction or control of the entity or department from inquiring into the immigration status of a witness to or victim of a crime.
