SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 96
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize David Leininger, who is retiring as executive vice
  president and chief financial officer of Dallas Area Rapid
  Transit after nine years of distinguished service with the
  agency; and
         WHEREAS, David Leininger joined Dallas Area Rapid Transit
  as senior vice president and chief financial officer in December
  of 2008, and he has since overseen all financial activities of the
  agency; he was promoted to executive vice president of the transit
  system in 2012, and in this role, he has also guided operations
  for the Information Technology, Marketing and Communications,
  Procurement, and Risk Management departments; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Leininger has played a major role in the
  agency's growth and success, and he has earned a national
  reputation for his sound fiscal policies and management; under
  his conscientious leadership, the agency has advanced innovations
  to the benefit of customers and stakeholders and has implemented
  new technologies that have served as a model for other
  transportation systems; and
         WHEREAS, Highly respected in his field, Mr. Leininger has
  served in leadership positions for numerous professional
  associations, and in 2011, he was recognized as the Chief
  Financial Officer of the Year for Governmental Agencies by the
  Dallas Business Journal; he has helped Dallas Area Rapid Transit
  become a leading institution for public transportation, and his
  presence at the agency will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend David Leininger
  for his outstanding leadership at Dallas Area Rapid Transit and
  for his many contributions to the North Texas communities and
  extend to him best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
