SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 61
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize Aunt Aggie De's Pralines, a treasured Texas candy
	company that is celebrating 30 years of business success; and
	WHEREAS, Aunt Aggie De's Pralines was established in 1987
	by Eleanor Harren, who was branching out from her successful
	catering work to specialize in producing her most popular product,
	the creamy pralines made from her Aunt Aggie De's recipe; the
	first three boxes were sold to stores in Corpus Christi, all of
	which reordered the next week; and
	WHEREAS, In the years that have followed, the prized candy
	has gained widespread recognition, and the company has expanded
	to include a storefront and factory in Sinton, Texas, that
	provides jobs to more than two dozen individuals; and
	WHEREAS, Aunt Aggie De's Pralines has been highlighted by
	several national magazines and newspapers and has twice been
	featured as the Official Best Gourmet Praline and Pecan Candy
	in Texas by the Discovery Channel; each year, the independent
	company sells more than two million pralines to customers around
	the world; and
	WHEREAS, Aunt Aggie De's Pralines is renowned for its original
	creamy pralines, and over the years, the company has added new
	pralines and candies to the product line that are prepared with
	the same care and high-quality ingredients that customers have
	come to love; and
	WHEREAS, Aunt Aggie De's Pralines is a source of great pride
	for the Sinton community and the Lone Star State, and Eleanor
	Harren and her talented staff are indeed worthy of recognition;
	now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
	Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend all who have
	contributed to the success of Aunt Aggie De's Pralines and extend
	to them congratulations on the company's 30th anniversary; and,
	be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
	company as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
